Email Accounts
Email accounts are mailbox users for an activated domain.
Before Creating Accounts
At least one domain must have receiving active. If no domains are active, the Add account button is disabled and Arawa Mail shows a prompt to open the Domains screen.
Create An Account
Open Email accounts, then click Add account.
Enter:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Domain | The active receiving domain for the mailbox. |
| Full name | Display name for the mailbox user. |
| Username | The local part before @. |
| Password | The sign-in password, minimum 8 characters. |
The final email address is created as:
username@domain
For example, username support on example.com creates:
[email protected]
Usernames may contain letters, numbers, dots, underscores, and hyphens.
Passwords
Passwords are set by the administrator when the account is created. To change a password:
- Open Email accounts.
- Select the account.
- Enter a new password in Account settings.
- Save changes.
Leave the password field blank when updating only the display name.
Opening Mailboxes
From an account detail page, click Open email to open that mailbox. Mailbox users can also sign in directly at /login using their email address and password.
Duplicate Addresses
Arawa Mail prevents duplicate email addresses within the company database. If the address already exists, choose another username or update the existing account.
